GOT7 Keep Spinning Tour

I know, I know I have been a little MIA lately and I have so much I need to catch up on. I promise I am slowly writing it all down. It has been a hectic, fun filled year with some crazy ups and downs in my personal life, on my Kpop journey and now the world is on some crazy roller coaster situation and before I knew it months and months have passed. BUT I really do want to keep writing and sharing my journey with you, I promise I will crack on so just bear with me.

In the meantime, lets go back to October 2019 for my second Kpop concert at SSE arena, Wembley and a fun weekend with friends.

The journey to get to London for the GOT7 concert was almost as exciting as the actual weekend. I decided I would give the coach a chance and woke up early on Friday to get the first coach to London. It was running late but I had all day so all was well…

A bird flying into the windscreen and shattering it, had other ideas though and my day suddenly got a whole lot crazier. Rather than worry or sad though, I did was I am good at, I helped calm folk down, made a few friends and I helped the poor lad working on the bus to make some teas and coffees whilst we waited for a replacement coach.

After a much longer journey that originally planned, I finally made it to Wembley and went to meet my friends in the hotel bar, where I hoped they were still waiting for me with a pint. I found one friend waiting to check in and wandered to the bar, no one, the place was empty. We had the wrong premier inn, a swift 15 minute walk and hurrah, the right hotel and my cold cider waiting for me.

GOT7 Keep Spinning Tour, SSE Arena Wembley

I have only been a GOT7 stan since about February and for the first few months my bias was Jackson, but slowly and surely JB just appeared out of nowhere and I have really looked at any of the others in the same way since. Don’t get me wrong they are all talented, beautiful men but JB just has a special place in my heart. So apologies if my photos are very JB heavy.

The concert was epic, I had a slight (read major attack of bad decision making which caused one the biggest regrets of 2019) moment when my over £50 lightstick didn’t work properly, (spoiler alert – no ones worked properly, but I didn’t know that) so I slipped out to talk to the sellers, at the complete wrong moment when JB performed his Solo Ride, danced blindfolded and then gagged himself in the most sexy and provocative way I have ever seen (after the fact on a video my friend sent me). One of my biggest regrets of 2019 will forever be 1) buying the lightstick as much as I love it, was a bit of waste of money and 2) missing JB’s solo! Sad times!

Anyway, the concert was awesome, the seats amazing and the whole vibe was just immense. Different to BTS but still good. I really enjoyed it and I hope they come back again. Enjoy my photos and videos.

The best part of the weekend for me was undoubtably seeing these talented men perform but almost in line with this was spending time with friends I have made. I cannot explain how amazing it is finding and making new friends who have so much in common with me, want to spend time with me and spent the whole weekend with me having a laugh. It is beautiful!

Actually, I take back all of that, the best part was definitely the food at Olles. Screw it, the whole weekend was awesome! Not only did I get to spend time with my amazing friends, see GOT7 in concert and eat some amazing food. I also fit in some ‘Namjooning’ whilst the others had a lie in!

After a long, tiring but amazing weekend, I returned home to the kids with a lighter purse and heavier bags, but a massive smile on my face, which I needed as the next few months of my life turned out to be pretty stressful, but that is another story for another day.

I hope you enjoyed my very delayed, but picture filled blog post.

Short Break…

Hello Guys!

Sorry I haven’t published a post in a while. I had a bit of a tough time the end of last year in my “real life”. I was made redundant just before Christmas and I was feeling a bit down. So I spent Christmas with my family and looked for a new job in the New Year.

I was still very much in my Kpop / drama bubble and it got me through some tough days of feeling sad and sorry for myself. Not only by listening to music, watching dramas but also with the friends I have made. I managed to come through Christmas, got a new job and started the New Year fresh and ready to go.

img_1316

I haven’t had much time for writing though as I have been trying to get back into a routine with new job, kids, life and all the other things I normally have no trouble with but as I wasn’t feeling 100% after my hectic end of the year. Its taken a little to get back into the swing of things.  But I am in a much better place and I am looking forward to my new year of music, fun, friends and family. I, of course, am being a little dramatic. I have still been my happy cheery self, and I have been ok. I just really quite missed my old job, but my new job is looking to be very exciting and just as friendly.

But onto what you are all here for? Whats up in my kpop/drama bubble??? Well, I have had a few adventures already which I will try to post about over the next week or so. And I have quite a few plans in the works for the next year!

Jeon Jungkook has grown up in the spotlight as an Idol. BTS are now a huge worldwide phenomenon and yet they are all still so humble and down to earth. Being the youngest member and joining at such a young age, you would have thought the fame could have gone to his head, but alongside the other members he is still quirky, funny and truly humble. The other members seem to have a special soft spot for him as they practically raised him. He is close to all the members and equally they all have a lot of time and good things to say about him. In many interviews, it is clear he respects and loves all the members but he definitely idolises RM and looks to him for guidance as a role model.

“I want to become a singer that touches people with his voice, and also to become such a singer that people can without hesitating, proudly and being not embarrassed at all to say ‘I’m a fan of BTS’.”

“Roses do not bloom hurriedly…”

“Roses do not bloom hurriedly; for beauty, like any masterpiece, takes time to blossom.”

The Rose are a four piece K-Rock band who have unceremoniously jumped into my life and made me question everything in it. Ok, so being dramatic but if you have heard Woosung sing, or have been blessed with seeing Dojoon play the keyboards, or Jaehyeong on the bass and if you had witnessed Hajoon on the drums, if you have seen all of these things you know what I am talking about and if not, its your lucky day as I am about to share some of their finer moments with you.

Image result for The ROse

Debuted in 2017 under J&Star Company with the single Sorry, as a group they are still pretty new to the Korean music scene, but if you are into Korean music and follow other acts/shows you may have seen some of the members crop up in other places previously. But anyway back on track so still a relatively rookie group and I think are quite underrated and having been quite a popular indie group for a while before going mainstream and joining J&Star company but like the quotes about Roses, they may have been growing for a while but it definitely appears as though they are starting to bloom.

I had heard some of their songs before, but didn’t know who they were or that the songs I had heard were even by this group. 🤦‍♀️ I know, I should hand in my music appreciation card now! My apologies, but once my friend introduced me properly, that was it. I fell down another hole, well in fact I jumped! The first song I heard was Sorry but I didn’t know it was The Rose, but I knew it was beautiful. I did not do any research though, otherwise I would have jumped down this hole a lot sooner.

I have never heard a voice quite like Woosung at all, ever! I love many singers for their vocal talent and you cannot compare them as they are equally as beautiful but there is definitely something special about the way he sings. I believe it’s not just something about his actual voice, but everything about him that draws you in. His stage presence, how he holds the mic when he sings, playing the guitar whilst singing, and lastly his voice is like melted chocolate and marshmallows. And for those of you that might feel like you can’t take it seriously or concentrate because of the language barrier 🙄, he even sings in perfect English and he still sounds beautiful. Here you go, The Rose cover of I love you so bad,  thank me later:

Pre Kpop, I am definitely an alternative girl at heart. I love going to Download festival as often as I can with my friends and my rock heart hasn’t disappeared, its just had to make room for some Kpop groups, and just as I thought I had no room left, The Rose have come along to quench my rock thirst and I am here for it.

The group are all really beautiful and yes this is one of the reasons I jumped head first into the hole. Let’s be honest, it helps if they are pretty to look at but they are equally as talented as they are beautiful. And just in case, you think its all about the visuals, here is one of my favourites with just a lyric video, so you want get distracted by the visuals so you can truly appreciate the music.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see them when they came to London but when they come next, I don’t care what I am doing, whether its a school night or even if I can afford it, I will be going! You can be damn sure about that!

To say they have been around independently for a few years now and debutted a couple of years ago now, they are still relatively unknown and underrated. But I think with the new found appreciation for other genres and the language barrier not really being a thing anymore, they will soon get to blossom into the beautiful group we can all see now, and I for one, cannot wait. I would love to see more music by them and would love to see them perform in England.

I will go a bit more in-depth into the members and songs another time, something to look forward too. But in the meantime, check them out. Super talented and some wonderful songs and covers.

Let me know if you went along to see them in London or Manchester, I promise I won’t be jealous at all, well maybe a little bit but I’ll behave. Please leave a comment below, I’d love to hear about it. Also any other bands / groups I should check out.

I’m currently on a The Rose, Day6 and Ateez week, I haven’t forgotten my faves – I have playlists on top of playlists and they all intermingle! I’m an equal opportunist and happily have all of my old faves and new faves playing together. Whats on your current playlist?

Jimin is exceptionally bright and talented. He can speak Korean, Japanese, Chinese and English. Although he is teased by the other members, you can see they actually love him a lot. Jimin joined as a trainee last and had to work hard to debut but he is one of the most popular members and his hard work and dedication has payed off. From what we are shown of the members personality, he is energetic, a bit cheeky, likes to be praised and is happy to show affection to all the members. He is an adorable and lovely person but get him on stage and he is a demon. His duality and sex appeal is off the charts.

“There is beauty in everything, just not everybody sees it.”

Comeback season is upon us; Im not sure I am going to survive!

So many comebacks, so little time…

Super M

The much anticipated super group Super M’s comeback on October 4th was everything I imagined and more. I am loving almost everything about the mini album except for one small little detail: “Jopping”. I just can’t get past the jumping/hopping = jopping thing. It just reminds me of the “making fetch a thing” meme from mean girls. I think I would probably really enjoy the song but I just can’t get past that, so (and please don’t all jump on me) I haven’t listened to it all the way through. I absolutely love Super Car and Can’t Stand the Rain. Also, as a massive SHAWOL, I love seeing Taemin do his thing. Super M for the uninitiated is a group made up of Taemin from SHINee, Baekhyun and Kai from Exo, and Taeyong, Mark and Lucas from NCT.  I can’t wait  to see what else they have in store for us.

https://youtu.be/7j0US67nMkY

What did you all think? Are you on board with “jopping”? I think its just me that can’t get over it. 🙂

Monsta X

It all kicked off in household with Monsta X’s single Someone’s Someone! I liked Monsta X but I was trying to avoid too many more groups, especially as I gave up on going to see these as I was saving money for GOT7 and now I regret this decision more than anything as I have properly fallen down the hole. I was teetering before as I like the music but I was trying to be good, but now I just think sod it! I’m all in.

Go check out the video for Someone’s Someone, I love it!

Oh and whilst you are checking them out, why not have a look at their cover of Bruno Mars Versace on the Floor. I love a bit of Bruno and seeing these men perform was amazing and is what made me fall in the first place.

I do have a couple of biases but I am going to hold off before I elaborate as I’m still relatively new to the fandom and I don’t want to be rash although if any of you follow my instagram you may have seen a while back who my biases might be.

I quite like to see their cute little interactions and follow them on Twitter. You should go check them out if you haven’t. They are just the right amount of cute and sexy all rolled into one.

The comeback schedules are so hard for me to keep up with, I always end up missing something and have to catch up later. But at least I get to join in on comebacks. I am relatively new to Kpop, I will have been ARMY for a year in December and every other group has followed after that, so I am just excited to be here.

Have you all been enjoying the teaser trailers? It was a bit tense for a minute there, I cannot wait for tomorrow for the music video to Find You to drop. I will be at work but I am hoping to get a sneak peak.

What do you think of Someone’s Someone? Are you enjoying it? I am looking forward to the 28th for the mini album to drop.

Stray Kids

I actually really enjoy listening to Stray Kids but I only have a couple of songs on my playlist so I haven’t really fallen yet. But I did check out their release of Double Knot when it dropped on October 9th. I like it and it will be added to our morning playlist as the kids enjoyed it too.

Here it is in case you haven’t had chance to check it out:

I don’t know much about them but as their comeback continues, I will undoubtedly be doing some research, so watch this space.

What do you think? Should I be falling down this hole? I only have about 3 songs on my playlist. What would you recommend?

TXT – ‘꿈의 장: MAGIC’ / 1st Full Album

TXT had there first full album comeback today. My kids love TXT so weer very excited to see the new video today and have demanded I get the album on every download/ streaming service I can. What can I say? We are a Kpop family.

I loved (Run Away) the music video releaseed today. As the “younger brothers”  of BTS, I imagine they must feel a large shadow over them and some quite big shoes to fill. I don’t believe they should feel like this though. As they are unbelievably talented in their own right and their music is proving that. It has been quite sweet and innocent as of yet, but they need to establish their music and sound themselves. As we only joined the kpop fandom a year ago, we missed a lot of our now favourite groups earlier songs and comebacks, so it nice getting to witness “rookies” and watching a group from the start seeing how they interact and how their music develops. We cannot wait to watch them grow as artists. My girl especially loves TXT so I am sure you will more from her regarding their comeback.

Did you enjoy the video? Are you enjoying the album?

Special Mention – ooh I am very excited…

Not Kpop exactly, but Kpop Adjacent as we discovered them through BTS.

Arcades  ft Ryan Lawrie – RUNNING.

We had sneak peaks on Arcades twitter page and the wonderful guys also asked their fans to help with the music video. We jumped at the chance and it was beautiful. The song is wonderful and has become a staple in our household. I find my girl dancing and singing to it every day, at least three times a day. I love how I am discovering new music all the time now. For a while, as a mu to young children I forgot what it was like to discover new things. I love it.

The lyrics are beautiful and I may have cried a little when I heard it and the music video just makes this feeling even greater. It is a wonderful thank you, memento and just a wonderful video. You can find our little bit at 2:49. But when Luna declared “this was her favourite bit…” It wasn’t the part we were in 🤦‍♀️ never mind! 😂😂😂

Comebacks I am still looking forward to…

October 22nd – DAY6

October 28th  – Monsta X

Sometime in November – HyunA and GOT7

And of course BTS may also be making their comeback at some point in the future.

I keep an eye on general comeback information on:

https://www.kpopmap.com/upcoming-kpop-comeback-debut-lineup-in-october-2019/

Are there any on this list I should be keeping an eye on? What should be my next kpop group to discover? Let me know in the comments below.

Hiatus Interrupted

Top Trumps – BTS Edition – Hyung Line

So we have the Hyung Top Trumps bio blog posts published… I am going to pause on those for a second to have a quick stop gap over the recent events in the Bangtan universe.

Excitement reached peak for us this year when we got to see them Live at Wembley back in June and with the release of Map of the Soul: Persona back in April, this entire year has whizzed by in a crazy but exciting blur for us as fans, so I can only imagine how tired the guys were.

So we were vey excited to hear they were taking a well deserved proper rest. For a brief moment, our house was a little sad – thinking we wouldn’t be hearing from them for the next two months – we needn’t have worried as the members still posted on weverse/twitter and Jimin did a couple of vlives. And since the return, it has been just as incredible with all the vlogs lined up. I have the kids and work so I tend to catch up on a few things all at once, as its easier than trying to find time there and then to watch.

So, here’s a quick catch up of a few pics and posts from their well deserved break and return to the scheduling.

DISCLAIMER: I am not going to comment on anything negative that happened on break or share anything you cannot find on their twitter/vlives –  its not my style to talk about what they do or don’t get up to in private, I like the music and I love all the members and mostly I love watching the guys entertain us in ways they want to, showing us sides of themselves they want to share.

Way back in August – Taehyung dropped his video and song called Winter Bear and it is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I could listen to him sing all day long.

Two days later after the closing of the exciting and very steamy Lotte concert – BTS announced they would be having a break for a couple of months to rest and recuperate – the first time they have had a genuine holiday since debut.

We all prepared ourselves to not see or hear from the members for the next two months until the next scheduled concert in Saudi Arabia in October. We didn’t need to worry as it seems the members like talking to us as much as we love hearing from them.

Taehyung shared some wonderful shots of the start of his break and Jimin treated us to a couple of VLives featuring Hobi, Tae and Jin.

Joon looked to be enjoying his break – Namjooning all over the place doing what he do does best – looking at artwork in galleries whilst looking like artwork. 👀😍

Image

Image

Image

Joon – do you have any idea what photos like this does to a person?? Here he is living his best life and enjoying himself and looking amazing doing it.

Image

Image

Calm down man! We can’t take anymore! But oh so happy for him, exploring the world and taking in so many sights I wish I could go see.

Image

Early on in the break – Jhope flew out to LA solo, without any of the members for “important business” – we obviously now know it was for filming of his solo collaboration with Becky G for Chicken Noodle Soup. But at the time we were all the dark and that was half the fun, not knowing what we was doing or why. However on his return, he broke the internet, twitter and I barely survived the 23rd of August. His airport outfit on his return to Korea was beautiful and hot. There is no other way to describe it.

Screenshot 2019-10-07 at 22.25.44.png

Jin shared his world wide handsome face and went crazy on Weverse with his witty remarks and sharp humour. I loved that he seemed to be enjoying commenting on ARMY comments. And of course, they shared some pictures of his and Yoongis fishing trip. How amazing was it, that even though they were on holiday and didn’t need to share anything with us. They still chose too. I don’t think we deserve them sometimes.💜💜💜

Image

Image

Image

Yoongi blessed us with an adorable shot of Holly and followed with this absolute beautiful image of himself snuggling with Holly – probably whilst resting at home and it was the most wonderful picture I have ever witnessed. He looked so relaxed and happy and I smiled when I saw it.

All together  – aaawwww!!

Image

As far as we could see they were all enjoying the break in their own little ways and it was wonderful to see. Jimin was enjoying travelling Europe and seeing other artists in concert and Taehyung looked to be enjoying spending time as a young person, hanging with friends and having a boys holiday.

Image

Image

September came and they all took time to celebrate and share the love for the youngest member Jungkook on his birthday. The special video message from Jimin was definitely a highlight. Jungkook also dropped a huge but beautiful bombshell when he released a teaser for what could be his first solo or mix tape.

Image

Joon carried on Namjooning and boy does he know how to take a good photo. I so wish I could travel and see all of these beautiful sights. I think most ARMYs are jealous of the people getting to be in the same room as Joon, I was jealous of the wonderful things he was getting to see. I am scared of flying and suffer terrible anxiety attacks so chances of me seeing more of the world are slim but I am working on it. BTS and my ARMY friends give me courage and confidence.

We had a couple of adorable updates from Yoongi and Hobi which made my day. I love seeing them happy and enjoying themselves. I sort of wish they could just live like this all the time, but I imagine the lifestyle of an idol doesn’t lend itself to this frivolity and peace so often. Which is kind of sad but I love their music, message and seeing them perform so selfishly I never want them to quit.

Image

Image

The second time Twitter and the internet broke was when Jimin posted a beautiful candid shot of himself inside a photo booth on 11th September.

Namjoon also celebrated his birthday and again, his brothers took time to wish him a happy birthday and celebrate.

Their break finally came to an end when the men headed off on a secret scheduling event that we have all guessed could possibly be Bon Voyage. A reality style show following the guys as they have a holiday as sorts as a group and provide a huge amount of entertainment for us.

And as a final hurrah – Hope dropped his solo collaboration with Becky G – Chicken Noodle Soup, and thus ending the suspense of what his important business was. I loved it and I think everyone needs to see it. It is cheerful, uplifting and inspiring. Becky G is cute, adorable and sexy all mixed up and I liked her singing and I loved the mix of Korean, English and Spanish. I love in interviews how they both admit, language was not a barrier as they communicated through music, this is exactly how I feel when I listen to BTS’s music. I don’t need to understand every word, I can feel the music.

Check out Chicken Noodle Soup below. Also the guys introduced us to their TIKTOK account just in time for CNS to drop and Hobi introduced his CNS challenge, and yes me and the kids have had a go. 😂😂😂

I think this pretty much sums up the “break” which as I look back, yes we can see they are relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends and getting to enjoy life as “average 20somethings” but they never shied away from ARMY – we got to go along on their break which makes me sad and happy in equal parts. I knew we would miss them and yet they didn’t really give us chance, but I also wanted them to take time for themselves and not think of anyone else. But we stan humble and genuine men so it wasn’t surprising they chose to share so much with us.

So now we are awaiting the last few dates in the Speak Yourself tour.

October seems to be comeback season so we are awaiting news every day, and fear of midnight KST is hitting us all hard again, but its all part of the fun when you let KPOP into your life.

If like me, October really is comeback season and I am being attacked by new news about all the groups I love all the time! What are you guys looking forward to most?

I have just been to GOT7 so I’ll be posting about that very soon!!

And then I will carry on with Top Trumps BTS edition Maknae line!

Let me know what you are looking forward to this comeback? What did you enjoy most about the break?

See you soon,

Butterflychild aka Tina xxx💜💚💜💚💜

I am hoping to make stops at Sokollab for their GOT7 weekend – I want to treat myself and also little secret, I’d really like to meet the twins from TTK (twins talk Kpop) again as it was so exciting seeing them at Wembley for BTS. Highlight of my weekend!

Most exciting though – is I am meeting with lots of online friends who over the last few months have befriended me, made me feel welcomed and wanted. I can’t wait to see GOT7 live, but I am also so happy to be getting the chance to meet online friends in person.

So anyway, this is only a short blog just to say – if you’re going to the concert maybe I will see you there and if not – check out my insta and twitter to see all the excitement for yourself.

See you on the other side, folks!

Hobi has a dog called Mickey and he loves sharing photos of him. He has three solo songs with BTS:- Mama which he wrote for his mum because he felt she could finally be proud go him, Boy Meets Evil and Just Dance. He also has a mixtape Hopeworld and daydream is a beautiful song.
